The aim of this book is to demonstrate how the surviving works of Sophocles promoted Athenian democracy in the 5th century B.C. Indeed, the pedagogical dimension of this playwright's writings was a reality, given the context. Angel NGON A BETCHEM é licenciado em Letras Clássicas pela École Normale Supérieure de Yaoundé I. Trabalha no liceu de Oveng-Mbankomo, na região de MEFOU Et AKONO, desde 2012. Estudante atento de línguas antigas, está também inscrito numa dissertação em literatura francesa moderna, com especialização em clássicos, na Universidade de Yaoundé I.
