Colorectal cancer (CRC) is considered as third highest cause of cancer death. The chemotherapeutic drugs became often limited due to their severe (undesirable) side effects in multiple unrelated organs. The medicinal plants were selected to be combined with nanotechnology for achieving higher therapeutic purposes. Moringa oleifera is rich in wide range of the phyto-constituents (including sterols, tannins, flavonoids, terpenoids, saponins, alkaloids, anthraquinones and vitamins associated with various minerals) that are responsible for the biological and antioxidant efficiency against the deleterious effects induced by oxidative stress. It was reported that the phyto-constituents in the plant leaves were more effective than those in seeds. Therefore, the leaves were selected to be incorporated with silver nanoparticles (Ag-NPs) for preparing silver plant nano-extract by mean of green nanotechnology. Enhancement of antioxidant, scavenging and cytotoxic activities in the extract after incorporating Ag-NPs attributed to enhancing the phenolic compounds.
