There's a Kitten in My Backpack was inspired by a true event when the author's little neighbor tried to get on the school bus with a kitten in her backpack. The author herself took the kitten to its home so the bus could leave on time. It's a fun and lively work of fiction of what might have happened if the kitten had not been discovered. The second in Karalee's backpack series, it contains a creative rhyming tempo and an adventurous bus ride that will thrill all young readers.
