Every tiny push at each point breaks the smooth surface into its small areas, constant in the quiet and slow movement. It is lovely, this motion attended by serenity, almost as if you were here, but you are not, and this is a part of how these things are. Eight p.m., there is time to watch, to take the bus home (the slow journey through London): there is time to do things. The surface is smooth, but it is veined, the liquid, and it rolls, calm and slow, or twinkles, an eye. From the author: The selection hopefully gives some idea of the multi/interdisciplinary, multi-genre nature of my work, which has also included colour paintings and improvised music. My essay ' Interaction, Symbiosis, Overlap' (included in Art and Disclosure) deals with these issues in some detail, if anyone should be interested.
