Marie Hoy-Kenny is a writer, teacher and mother from Ontario, where she lives with her husband, two imaginative children and a mischievous poodle. Some of her favorite things include hiking, reading thrillers and going on adventures with her family. Marie has written a young adult novel, The Girls from Hush Cabin, and her short stories and poetry have appeared in several literary magazines. Her children love to be read "scary" books, so that is why she wrote this one. Mike Deas is an author/illustrator of graphic novels, including the Sueño Bay Adventures, the Tank & Fizz series and the Graphic Guide Adventure series. He grew up with a love of illustrative storytelling, and Capilano College's commercial animation program helped Mike fine-tune his drawing skills and imagination. Mike and his family live on Salt Spring Island, British Columbia.
