Tom Frye is a published playwright with Concord Theatricals and a multiple award-winning actor/director/producer. He earned a bachelor of arts and a master of arts in theatre from Wichita State University and the University of Kansas.Frye taught theatre at Wichita Southeast High School, Kapaun Mt. Carmel High School, the Independent High School, and Wichita State University. He was a special education teacher at Starkey School, Levy Special Education Center, and Andrew H. Fabrique Elementary School. He also taught ESL at Wichita East High School.Frye's theatrical career encompasses more than 400 productions performed in thirty-five states. A highlight was his performance of the one-man play Tru under the direction of its author, the Oscar-nominated playwright Jay Presson Allen, and produced by her three-time Tony Award-winning husband, Lewis Allen.
