In recent years, the precision machine industry plays an important role in the economic development. With the advent of ultra-modern machines, the variety of machined parts has increased greatly and complicated shapes difficult to machine have been produced easily by the program. To improve the quality of these complex types of machined parts, it is very important to rapidly and accurately measure the 3D shape of the produced machined parts. Various measurement tools have been introduced and widely used to evaluate the quality of machined parts. This book describes the 3D information analysis of objects by color pattern projection for the very fast mapping of 3D surfaces. Here, the color pattern is generated programmatically on a computer screen and projected onto an object using a novel digital projection system. This way, the 3D surface can be drawn with considerable resolution and accuracy. The measuring speed also allows the camera to reach the frame rate.Starting from this starting point, this book is written for the purpose of giving the analysis the principle of three-dimensional profile measurement by means of color patterns.
