A Memoir of Breaking Cycles, Reclaiming Faith, and Becoming Whole Through the Concrete is a raw and revelatory grief memoir about what it means to bloom in broken places Briana Cobb's story begins with loss-the kind of loss that shapes you before you understand its weight. After losing her father to tragedy at just ten years old and growing up with an emotionally absent, chronically ill mother, she entered a high-control religious environment in search of belonging and stability. For over ten years, she devoted herself to a faith that demanded silence over truth, obedience over identity, and sacrifice over self-worth. When grief struck again with the death of her mother-and motherhood brought unexpected clarity-Briana found the courage to walk away. What followed was not instant healing, but a wilderness of unraveling: spiritual confusion, emotional isolation, and the painful process of becoming whole. This memoir blends narrative storytelling with spiritual insight, two original illustrations, and bonus Rooted Reflections pages-interactive journaling prompts to help readers process their own healing journey. Through the Concrete is for anyone who has felt silenced, broken, or buried by grief, religion, or fear. It is a story of resilience, faith, and healing from trauma, proving that what looks like breaking is often the beginning of bloom.
