When Josie reconnected with her teenage sweetheart thirty years later, she thought she had found forever. Instead, she fell into a web of control, coercion, and escalating abuse that nearly cost her everything. This raw and unflinching memoir takes readers inside the cycle of charm, manipulation, and violence--showing how easy it is to miss the warning signs, and how hard it is to break free when love and fear are so tightly tangled. Through vivid storytelling, Josie shares the flashbacks, the moments of doubt, the survival instincts that kept her alive, and the journey toward healing. At its heart, this is not a book about him--it's a book about her. About reclaiming her voice, her safety, and her future. Through the Cracks is both a testimony and a lifeline: a book for anyone who has loved someone dangerous, for those who want to understand, and for the survivors who need to know they aren't alone. Because freedom isn't found in the fairytale ending--it's found through the cracks.
