Unwinding from the heart of a place called Tiempo, situated somewhere along the South Texas border, a wound throbs. In Tiempo, the memories of a city spill into existence. Here we are introduced to the manifold characters caught in the struggle: Luis Ruiz, who dreams of reuniting with his mother; Freddy Quintanilla, unable to confront his only lifeline to his family in Mexico; Araceli Lucio and her cursed progeny; El Rey and his demands for things to stay as they are. These intersecting lives bound by the absence of control populate the turnstile narrative running through Tiempo, Texas.
