Ed e Angie Wright começaram a aconselhar casais na Igreja Saddleback em 2000, desde então eles aconselharam centenas de casais noivos e casados. O casal Wright escreveu o primeiro caderno de tarefas para aconselhamento, pela Igreja de Saddleback em 2002. Reconhecendo a importância única desse formato de aconselhamento casal com casal eles fundaram o ministério Marriage By God. O material que eles desenvolveram tem sido recebido de forma muito positiva dentro dos EUA e internacionalmente nos 4 continentes. O casal Wright está casado a mais de 36 anos, com dois filhos adultos. Eles residem na California, Mission Viejo, onde trabalham com mercado imobiliário.
