This is an educational book about the Ma'di, from Africa. The book is of interest to any person of Ma'di descent or anyone interested in African history. The Ma'di were traced from where they originated; where they lived and traveled; how the travels affected them; and how they helped change others with their knowledge and skills. It is also a favorite topic of the author's as it is his history as well. Mr. Ambira learned much from the elders of the community as he was growing up. Ma'di are found all over the world though mainly in South Sudan and Uganda. This book will give insight to know their origins and to enable them to teach their children. Knowledge of Ma'di history will help them to adjust to other communities and cultures around them. The key learning of Ma'di history is to understand their position in Africa and the world: -How they travelled and mingled with other cultures and communities in different countries or places. -How they stand in the world history. The main objective of this book is above history and education. It aims for the people to learn their past. As most of our history was learned by word of mouth, it is good some of it is being written down so it is not lost forever.
Mr. Ambira currently lives in Canada. He was born and raised in Africa, staying close to his elders until he had to leave them for school in another town. As he matured and became independent, he traveled widely, in African countries (Egypt, Sudan, Uganda, Kenya, South Africa, Zimbabwe, Botswana, Lesotho, and Mozambique), using his Masters and Bachelor of Science (BSC) in Animal Science. Mr. Ambira even taught in high schools and Junior high, in Africa. He also studied in Europe. He was very much influenced by where, how, and who he was surrounded with. The campfire stories and lessons from his childhood have been a flame in his mind throughout his life. Mr. Ambira has so far published one book called The Untold Voices of African Animals. It's a children's book rich in moral teachings of the stories said verbally around the campfires. Stories that now won't be lost.
