Positive values are used as guidelines for community life, while negative values are avoided. Thus, the traditional expression is a means of ethical and moral education that serves as a reinforcement of social norms and values that serve as a barrier to the behavior of citizens. Using people have traditional expressions that different with other ethnic groups. In Using language, traditional expressions are used as a means of communicating. This is mostly done by the Using people because the Using language does not have social stratification so to build politeness in social interaction that Using people applying other means in the language. To convince others, the expression is often used as a persuasion strategy in his speech.

Prof. Dr. Imam Suyitno, M.Pd. ist Vollzeitdozent für indonesische Sprache an der Fakultät für Literatur der Staatlichen Universität Malang (UM). Er hat an der Staatlichen Universität Malang (UM) einen Doktortitel in indonesischer Sprachausbildung erworben. Seit er Dozent ist, leitet er das BIPA-Lernprogramm, nämlich das COTI-Programm ( Konsortium für den Unterricht in Indonesien).
