From the Trail of Tears to the Island of Tears, history repeats. This collection confronts the reality of America's modern immigration crisis through poetry rooted in fact. With each piece, Trail of Tears to the Island of Tears bears witness to the raids, the cages, the disappearances, and the lives forever altered by cruelty disguised as law. These are real people. Real names. Real deaths. In a time of rising fear and silence, this collection demands that we refuse to look away.
