This study is a contribution to strengthening the protection of personal data under positive Ivorian law. It highlights the shortcomings of the current system and suggests ways of strengthening it. The aim is to prevent information and communication technologies from undermining privacy.

Sangaré Mouhamoud holds a doctorate in private law from the Université Cheikh Anta Diop in Dakar, Senegal, and is also a lecturer at the Université d'Abidjan.
