Mattie Leonard is a resident of Texas. A retired Army veteran, the last five years of her military career were assigned to the White House Communication Agency as the NCOIC of the Situation Room. She earned her MBA at NLU, and she is a proud mother and grandmother. In her spare time, you can find her doing jail and prison ministry with her church, carrying the Narcotics Anonymous message to rehabilitation centers and prisons, swing dancing, and playing with her dogs. Her prior publications include Building Me Back Brick by Brick, a memoir of her struggle from the military through addiction toward a successful recovery, and Silent Cry, a book about her journey through domestic violence and abuse. Her stories serve as an inspiration to others, demonstrating the power of perseverance and the limitless potential of the human spirit.
