Autorenporträt
Vamsi Krishna Kudapa specializes in drilling engineering, drilling fluids, reservoir simulation, and heat transfer. He has many years of experience in these areas. He has exhibited skills in teaching at the graduate and postgraduate levels, providing academic and career counseling, mentoring students, and performing administrative responsibilities relevant to the growth of the campus and the quality of education. Dr. Kudapa has practical expertise in simulation studies using Landmark, CMG-IMEX, GEM, and STARS. In addition, he has conducted an experimental study on nanocomposite coatings on pipelines. In 2018, he attended UPES in Dehradun to earn his doctoral degree in Oil and Gas: Modelling and Simulation. Suresh Kumar Govindarajan, a petroleum engineering professor, has been in his current position since July 2022. He has guided 17 Ph.D. scholars and currently guides seven. Dr. Suresh has been a member of the faculty promotion committee at IITs/INIs and an external examiner for doctoral theses. He has also served as a setter, vetter, and chief paper setter for GATE PE papers. He has developed a reservoir simulation laboratory and served as NCC Chief Coordinator at IIT Madras for 12 years. His research includes studying climate change, storing carbon dioxide in the earth's crust, moving oil through fractured reservoirs, simulating reservoirs, characterizing geothermal reservoirs, groundwater hydrology, modeling the movement of contaminants in fluids, hydraulic fracturing, and disposing of radioactive waste through hard rocks. D. Tapas Kumar Dora, a senior research scientist at Reliance Industries Ltd. in Jamnagar, India, is working on "Low-Temperature Catalytic Gasification of Biomass to Hydrogen in a Dual Fluidized Bed Gasifier." He has completed the biomass-to-hydrogen (B2H) material and energy balance, estimated CAPEX, OPEX, life cycle assessment, and payback period. Dr. Dora has created kinetic models for the dual fluidized bed gasifier and combustor, business cases, a Process Design Package (PDP), and ASPEN Plus downstream biomass-to-hydrogen simulations. He has also studied catalyst activity and combustion kinetics. Dr. Dora has invented self-healing cement for oil wells and carbon nanotube/silica aerogel for oil spill cleaning. He also created a bespoke, low-cost biochar filter to remove lead, arsenic, and fluoride from drinking water.
