Though originally composed for piano four-hands, Satie was persuaded to orchestrate these pieces for a concert staged by Jean Cocteau presented on 21 February 1920 featuring works by Milhaud, Poulenc, and Auric. This digitally-enhanced study score is an unabridged reprint of the first edition issued in 1921 by Editions de la Sirene, Paris. The large score and orchestral parts are also available from Serenissima Music (98181).
