Tuberculosis (TB) is a preventable and treatable disease. Pulmonary and extra-pulmonary TB can be cured effectively with medicines and surgery. But due to many factors it has become a worldwide epidemic. Emergence of Multi-drug resistance (MDR) has further worsened the scenario of disease burden in resource constrained regions of the world. TB of brain and Spine is associated with high morbidity and mortality due to delay in the diagnosis and treatment. Objective of this book is to educate all the stakeholders including physicians involved in the clinical management of this dreaded, yet preventable and curable disease. High index of suspicion, early diagnosis with newer investigations, appropriate treatment, close observation of complications during follow up and prompt surgical intervention can cure any patient affected with TB of brain and spine.
