The world is revolutionized from the first direct-current distribution system in New York City in 1882 to our current electric power system. Electricity demand is increasing exponentially and it will continue to increase. The world is revolutionized from the first direct-current distribution system in New York City in 1882 to our current electric power system. Electricity demand is increasing exponentially and it will continue to increase. In India, our generation for the year 2021- 22 was 1356 billion units, which is around a 9.83% increase compared to last year. The rise in electricity demand cannot be fulfilled by conventional generation alone. The non-conventional generation is used with conventional generation to meet the rise in power demand. One of the objectives of power utility is to supply reliable power to the consumers. This can only be achieved if the generation and demand are matched. But the challenge with the present system is that the generation is distributed and there is a constant change in load demand. So a smart system that can handle the continuously changing demand along with the integration of non-conventional resources is needed and the system should adapt according to the user requirements.
