This book provides a systematical investigation on the reservoir characteristics and percolation mechanism of ultradeep carbonate gas reservoirs, including reservoir characteristics and classification, gas storage and percolation capacities, gas-phase and gas-water two-phase percolation mechanism, microscale complex gas-water relationship, reservoir sensitivity characteristics, and gas production characteristics of heterogeneous carbonate reservoirs. Some advanced and improved experimental techniques and analytical methods are introduced and applied, including comprehensive evaluation technique of storage and percolation capacities, ultra-high temperature and pressure physical simulation experiment technique, microscopic visualization technique based on CT scanning and microelectronics lithography, and physical simulation technique for heterogeneous reservoir development. In addition, it summarizes strategies for the efficient development of ultradeep carbonate gas reservoirs based onthese theoretical research results. The key techniques and methods introduced in this monograph satisfy the need for efficient development of ultradeep carbonate gas reservoirs and provide theoretical basis and methodological value for investigations on similar gas reservoirs. This book serves as a reference for engineering technical professionals, researchers, and graduate students who are engaged in the exploration and development of carbonate gas reservoirs.
Zhiguo Wu is the chief engineer of Beijing Zhongxuan Municipal Engineering Co., Ltd and the member of the Professional Committee of the China Society of Trenchless Technology. He is proficient in mechanical pipe-jacking construction technology, has unique insights into foundation pit support, grouting drag reduction, soil improvement, settlement control, and other aspects of pipe-jacking construction, and has successfully solved various difficulties encountered in the project many times. Yong Chen is a professor-level senior engineer and currently serves as the deputy director of the Chief Engineer's Office of Fujian Dongchen Geotechnical Foundation Engineering. In 1996, he began to study trenchless engineering and successfully developed, popularized, and promoted it in complex geological areas of Fujian. In 2007 and 2008, he was awarded the title of 'Outstanding Entrepreneur in National Engineering Quality Management' by the 'Policy Research Center of theMinistry of Construction' for two consecutive years. Zhaoquan Wang is the general manager and a senior engineer of Shaoxing Panshi Foundation Co., Ltd. He is the member of the Professional Committee of the China Society of Trenchless Technology. In 2000, he began to engage in the theoretical and practical research of trenchless pipe-jacking construction technology. In 2001, he co-founded a Sino-Japanese joint venture trenchless construction enterprise. By the end of 2003, he successively introduced 12 sets of ISE mud-water balance pipe-jacking machines, trained a large number of first-line pipe-jacking machine operators by using the self-writing teaching materials, and cooperated with Japanese technical experts to develop a mud-water balance pipe-jacking machine suitable for Chinese soil layers. In 2004, Shaoxing Panshi Foundation Co., Ltd. was established. He has published 16 academic papers, and participated in the compilation of 'Pipe-jacking and Micro-tunnel Construction Acceptance Code' and 'Trenchless Engineering'. Chunwen Yan is the deputy director of the Technical Center of China Geological Equipment Group Co., Ltd, the director of the editorial department of 'Geological Equipment', the professor-level senior engineer, the expert on government special allowance (engineering technology) of the State Council, the director of the Professional Committee of the China Society of Trenchless Technology, the executive director of the Geological Instrument Branch of China Instrument and Control Society, and the member of China Democratic League. He systematically researches the new technology of trenchless underground pipeline construction, solves the problem of 'lock road' in underground pipeline construction for a long time, and makes fruitful pioneering work for the application, promotion, and development of trenchless technology in China. He has played an important role in the establishment of the Professional Committee of the China Society of Trenchless Technology and has made outstanding contributions to discipline construction and talent training. Tong Taotao was born in 1989, obtained the B.S. degree in geology from Yangtze University in 2012, and has majored in English translation at the University of Science and Technology of China since 2022.
