He served in the Australian infantry before moving to the United States in 1992 after meeting his wife in California. During a distinguished military career spanning over two decades, Drew deployed multiple times to Afghanistan, serving as a Special Forces Medical Sergeant (18D), Senior Sergeant (18Z), and later as an officer.His book, Unbreakable Valor, delivers a raw and unfiltered look at modern warfare-capturing the intensity of combat, the complexities of leadership, and the unseen struggles of reintegration. Drawing on personal experiences from both Australian and U.S. military service, Drew offers an honest, relatable account that resonates with veterans, service families, and civilian readers alike.Now living in the United States with his wife and children, Drew focuses on family, recovery, and helping others understand the personal realities behind military service.
