An analysis was carried out on a terraced house with a vegetated roof in the city of Atibaia, SP. The green roof proved to be efficient in providing a thermal delay and transmitting a more stable temperature to the environment, offering greater thermal comfort and consequently contributing to energy efficiency. The analysis of natural ventilation, carried out using wind tunnel tests and on-site measurements, showed that the balcony design was effective in reducing excessive wind speed in the semi-open area, an important factor in utilising the area, especially in cities that need areas protected from the wind, as is common in many regions of Brazil. The balcony model with vegetated roof proved to be a good form of housing.
