M.P. Slaughter is a journalist, photographer, and poet residing in eastern Virginia with her fiancé and Mollie, her grandmother's faithful companion. She began writing poetry at a young age as a way to navigate the world around her. She was previously published in The Stylus, Randolph-Macon College's literary magazine. In her free time, Slaughter enjoys reading, crocheting, and learning new things.
