A pair of estranged half brothers who share only faint memories of their murdered father... Their grandfather, a heroic World War Two veteran, with a secret he took to the grave... A vault in a Swiss bank that holds all the answers, for those who have the key. For half brothers John and Alan Devenger, the world changes when their grandfather dies and leaves them a most unusual bequest-the truth about their father's murder and directions to a mysterious vault. It was Everett's dying wish that the brothers reconcile and work together to claim the prize. But lying in wait are the descendants of Nazi officers who will stop at nothing until they possess the vault's contents for themselves. Unlike the Devenger brothers, they know exactly what is at stake.
Kendall Smith's foray into the writing world began with his self-published debut novel Double-Edged Justice in 2007. His experience sharpened his perspective on the business and craft itself. After a brief stint as a political-satire blogger, he returned to his roots with a focus on writing novels within the thriller and mystery genre. The road to publishing Vault 21-12, and Kendall's involvement with Percussion Publishing, represented a three-year process. The lessons he garnered while publishing his first novel were put to use for his second, which involved several critiques by noteworthy editors and rewrites. Kendall has two projects slated for 2016. He lives in Ridgewood, New Jersey with his wife Allison and son Connor, who is a handful, according to the author. He is an active member in the New York music scene and is an avid fan of tennis, scuba diving and world travel. Destinations featured in Vault 21-12 represent ports of call during his world travels, and he has visited over thirty five countries.
