A simple pilgrimage with miracles runs afoul of both technology and Holy War. Award-winning author Doc Honour spins another fascinating tale of people caught in their own dilemmas on the planet Verdant. Jake Palatin's empathy technology, the transpath, helps people to understand each other, until one religious country bans the device. Struggling to meet their dream of a kinder humanity, he and his wife Zofia fight to spread the transpath to the three remaining human worlds. Fenet Powrfaith, an unknown itinerant minister, loses his lifelong ability to perform miracles. Following his God's purifying command to walk seven hundred kilometers, he is torn by his disciples gaining the abilities he has lost. When the One Church attacks them, his disciples turn to the banned transpath for help. Set against growing international tension, the events sweep toward a stunning conclusion that surprises everyone-including the reader. Doc Honour, a renowned systems engineer, builds on his vast experience to create highly acclaimed science fiction. Iconoclast, polymath, and author, his stories combine action, emotion, and technology into a read you can't put down.
