Unlock the power of vibration analysis to keep your machinery running smoothly and prevent costly breakdowns. This book provides a practical, hands-on guide for engineers, technicians, and maintenance professionals who want to understand and apply vibration monitoring techniques for reliability and predictive maintenance. Vibration analysis tracks vibration levels and examines patterns in vibration signals within components, equipment, or structures to detect anomalies and assess overall health. By analyzing both the time waveform and the frequency spectrum-using Fourier Transform techniques-practitioners can uncover the root causes of mechanical problems before they escalate. Mechanical vibration analysis should constitute at least 50% of any condition monitoring program. This guide covers the essentials to prepare practitioners for Levels I, II, and III certification, with clear explanations, numerous examples, and detailed photos that demonstrate how to detect and diagnose equipment failures such as:Bearings Shaft misalignment Unbalance Rotor problems Electric motors And more Using spectrum analysis techniques, you'll learn how to interpret signals, identify faults early, and implement corrective actions that save time, reduce downtime, and improve overall machine reliability. Whether you're a beginner or an experienced professional, this book equips you with the practical skills and knowledge to make vibration analysis an integral part of your maintenance strategy.
