Andrea Knies was born and raised in Ireland, Indiana. Her love for local history was sparked while growing up in this small Midwest town. That love has compelled her to immerse herself in the heritage wherever she lives. Andrea currently resides in Bradenton, Florida where she is the co-founder of Compass Rose History Experiences. She and her business partner write history pieces for publications, appear as regular history experts on the local morning show, produce the Navigating History podcast, and provide historical experiences and tours for groups.In addition to her knowledge of local history, Andrea is also a public relations professional who has earned her national Accreditation in Public Relations (APR). She holds a bachelor's and a master's degree from Indiana University, Bloomington.
