Vincen iu Babe was a Romanian lawyer, teacher, journalist and politician from Banat, settled in Vienna, where he got married in 1851 with Sophia Goldschneider. He was one of the founding members of the Romanian Academy. He was the father of Victor Babe . Victor Babe was a Romanian physician, biologist, and one of the earliest bacteriologists. He made early and significant contributions to the study of rabies, leprosy, diphtheria, tuberculosis, and other infectious diseases.
