"A rip-roaring modern fantasy that combines heartfelt characters, supernatural powers, and the real-world magic of Vieques and Bioluminescence. Jump in with both feet and have a blast!" - Josh Siegal, Co-EP of 30 Rock and The Good Place Visible Ripples-the second wave of the Reverse Ripples Series Dr. Pia Barnes is no ordinary forensic pathologist. By day, she examines the dead in New York City's medical examiner's office. By night, she tries to forget that death is no longer final-not for her. Ever since she fell into a glowing bioluminescent bay, Pia has possessed the impossible ability to reverse death itself. Now, as her journey continues, Pia longs for a normal life and the kind of love her best friends Sam and Kash have found. But can she let go of the heartache from her childhood crush and trust enough to find a love that is both passionate and true? Torn between the weight of her abilities and the desire for an ordinary existence, Pia must once again face the past, embrace her gift, and decide whether some things-like love and loss-are truly meant to be rewritten.
M.E. Strautmanis, a native of Cape Breton, Nova Scotia, has come full circle-returning to the tranquil shores of the Bras d'Or Lakes after three decades immersed in the energy of New York City. She finds inspiration in the ebb and flow of water, a powerful and recurring theme in her Reverse Ripples series. Though Cape Breton is home, the spirit of New York City and the vibrant beauty of Vieques, Puerto Rico, continue to shape her storytelling.A passionate writer and lifelong reader, M.E. is currently expanding her literary repertoire with a children's book while continuing her work in fiction. When she's not crafting stories, she's exploring the rugged beauty of Cape Breton Island, tending to her garden, and giving back to her community through volunteer work. She also channels her creativity into sea glass and driftwood art, transforming nature's remnants into meaningful, one-of-a-kind pieces.
