Autorenporträt
Lisa Kerpoe creates paintings on cloth, incorporating water-based media as well as a variety of surface design and mixed-media techniques. Her work has appeared in numerous exhibitions throughout the United States and internationally. Lisa is an adjunct faculty member at the Southwest School of Art in San Antonio, Texas, and teaches textile and surface design workshops across the United States. In 2008, Lisa was juried into the ArtCloth Network, a group of textile artists from around the country creating hand-dyed, printed, and painted natural fibers using a variety of surface design techniques. Lisa is the co-author of Vibrant Color: Combining Soy Wax and Dye for Brilliant Results with Jane Dunnewold. Lisa has also produced two instructional DVDs - Irresistible Texture: Using Resists to Create Stunning Cloth and Vibrant Color (with Jane Dunnewold).
