Autorenporträt
Emily Sun was born in Hong Kong, moved to England at age three, and at eight years old immigrated with her family to Whadjuk Noongar Boodjar (Perth, Western Australia). Emily's poetry and prose have been published in various journals and anthologies including Meanjin, Growing Up Asian in Australia, Cordite Poetry Review and Australian Poetry Journal. Vociferate ¿ is her debut poetry collection. Emily Sun's debut poetry collection, Vociferate, has been shortlisted for the 2021 WA Premier's Book Awards and received a Highly Commended in the Kenneth Slessor Prize for Poetry 2022 as part of the New South Wales Premier's Literary Awards. This recognition is a huge achievement for West Australian poets.
