To voyage through mediaeval Armenia accompanied by A.S. Pushkin, Sayat Nova and Vasily Grossman is a fabulous adventure that enlightens the voyager on the marvelous architectural vestiges of the Armenian and Seljuk civilisations, set, like precious stones within the bezels of the most majestic landscape. Enlightens the voyager, too, on the turbulent History of three mediaeval cultures : Persian, Armenian and Turkic. Mediaeval though this narrative be, oftentimes I take quick glimpses of the present scenes in and around the aforesaid landscape and vestiges. My historical narrative attempts to bring into the light a mediaeval reality, today quite overlooked, underestimated or completely ignored, set in the heart of Eurasia.
