Joe Donald Johnson is a former outdoorsman who has long gathered inspiration from natural environs and a kind of mysticism he has sensed therein, for his creative pursuits. Another inspiration for him has been humanity, in all its convoluted natures. In addition to writing poems, Johnson composes music, most of which orients itself to humanity and nature. He's an oldtimer, says the years of now are newtimes, confesses to not quite keeping up, tells us to go ahead, he'll be along if he can. Gazing at his shoes, he fesses up that he may have to sit down. He wishes us well.
