Lee Maywood is an Australian author and illustrator. She lives on the south coast in Jervis Bay area, after growing up in the Southern Highlands. Lee writes in fiction, non-fiction and autobiographical genres, including children's picture books, upmarket speculative thrillers, poetic literary collections, health and lifestyle guides. Her studies included a Bachelor of Health Science in Complementary Medicine, an Advanced Diploma of Naturopathy, Nutrition and Oriental Medicine, Certificates in Oncology Support and Remedial Therapies, Permaculture Design, Conservation, and Real Estate Investing. Lee spent twenty three years as a health practitioner and business owner, specializing in the treatment of chronic pain and injuries. She retired from her profession in the health industry and now focuses on her other lifelong passions of writing, permaculture gardening, native wildlife and creating free, uplifting community events. Lee Maywood's love of nature, uplifting others and empowering women is reflected in her literary works.
