Durante la laurea, è stata borsista nelle aree di Fisiologia vegetale, presso Embrapa Agroindústria Tropical, e Miglioramento genetico vegetale, presso l'UFC. In quest'area ha sviluppato questo lavoro e collaborato ad altri, che sono stati pubblicati in congressi e riviste.
