Karen was born and raised in Racine, Wisconsin. She married Tom in 1982 and lived in Kansas, Germany, Massachusetts, and Nebraska. They have three wonderful children and eight grandchildren. Karen has been a bookkeeper, Realtor, accountant, teacher, tutor, programmer, project and program manager, data conversion manager, and consultant. She has always come back to her love of writing. Tom and Karen plan to retire in 2020 and move to Florida.
