Wright offers readers a fascinating account of his service in the United States Army and how he survived the enemies of war-danger, despair, temptation, fear and doubt-armed with his training, his M16 rifle, his writings (pen, paper, and pictures) and his faith.Written in a captivating writing style "you" the reader will be drawn physically and emotionally into every moment of each letter. Autorenporträt
After almost 50 years of silence "Weapons of War" has allowed me the opportunity to share my personal story of military service during the Vietnam Era. A time when the combat soldier was not viewed as a hero o well received when returning home from the war. My story is just one example of how the many thousands of men and women who served in the Armed Services during that era overcame danger, hardship, loneliness, despair and for some the loss of life; to ensure freedom and democracy for the people of the Republic of South Vietnam.
