KD Greaves is a children's writer and tutor. Holding a B.A. Hons Degree in History and a Post Graduate Certificate in Education, KD spent several years working as a tour guide in magical, storybook settings including Rome, Venice, Paphos and Carthage before returning to the UK where she worked in schools; first as a classroom practitioner and then as a literacy intervention teacher, weaving storytelling into the fabric of her teaching. Parent to three boys, KD's past writing career has included a range of well-received stories and playscripts commissioned by the BBC, Channel 4, and Granada TV. KD is a great believer that reading for pleasure empowers children and guides them in finding the voice inside themselves.
