Lewis Bogaty is a writer and photographer living in New York. When Elsa Sang The Blues is his second short story collection. Loves And Entanglements, his first collection, was published in 2024. His fiction has also appeared in Virginia Quarterly Review, Mississippi Review, Descant, Sou'Wester, Another Chicago Magazine, Confrontation, and others. His non-fiction has appeared in Virginia Quarterly Review, Columbia Law Review, and various other magazines and newspapers.His short story in Kansas Quarterly received a Kansas Quarterly/Kansas Arts Commission fiction award. He has also received a BRIO fiction award from the Bronx Council On The Arts. Loves And Entanglements, in an earlier version, was a semi-finalist in the 2021 Elixir Press Fiction Award competition.His photographs have been exhibited in solo and group shows, most recently in Upstream Gallery's 2024 national juried photography show. His images have appeared in the New York Times and other newspapers, magazines and corporate publications.
