Mélance Nduwimana tem um doutoramento em ciências psicológicas, com especialização em psicocriminologia. Atualmente, é professor-investigador na Universidade do Burundi, ligado à Faculdade de Psicologia e Ciências da Educação. A sua investigação centra-se na vitimização por violação e no processo judicial.
