Today, women may agree (or not) that we have risen above the cultural chains and oppression of society, but many of our sisters are being treated as property through sex trafficking, prostitution, domestic violence, and street violence associated with homelessness. (Men and boys are also involved in these sins of our society.) These evils are not new to modern times. The trauma and violence associated with prostitution and sex trafficking impact the individuals directly involved, their families, and all of us as a society. "Women of Alabaster" offers women food, clothing, showers, prayer, devotions, and a way to escape their oppressors through community facilities, programs, and resources. Enter Scarlet Hudson, called "The General" by her volunteers because she leads the war against sin and violence toward women. On the streets, women call her "Mama Scar" or simply "Scar". Her goal: to show women the love of Jesus and to bring them into salvation and a loving relationship with Him.
