The book charts how policies frame "natural," "timely," and "early" weaning, classifies definitions and recommendations, and tests their coherence with international evidence and breastfeeding rights; it identifies consistencies, contradictions, and silences-on timing, maternal return to work, complementary feeding, and support networks-and translates policy into practice with takeaways for clinicians and managers, closing with actionable proposals to clarify terminology, strengthen community support, and align guidance with equitable public policies.
