My name is Maisa Samman, born in 1982 in Sydney Australia. My mother was from Lebanon and had an English tutor come to our home. As a curious 3 year old, I was always observing and learning alongside her and so my love for reading started at just 3 years old! I developed a deep interest in stories that entice my imagination and spreading the love of reading to other children and my own. Stories have a way of entering our minds and settling in to make a safe place to escape to. I want to show my children that dreams can be put on hold for years and only you have the power to unleash those dreams and sprinkle them onto paper, and now these days on screen, but nevertheless, I want to share my joy with the children and families of the world.
