Teaching young children to clean and organize their living spaces is an essential part of helping them to establish routines that fosters a sense of responsibility for their belongings and contributes to their ability to predict their environment. In Where's My Bears?, Guitele and Tom Rahill tell the story of a little girl who embarks on a wonderful day of play with her treasured "family" of bears. But after playing, she cannot find her bears. Eager to reunite with them before bedtime, she calls on her parents, who provide her the key to finding them. Where's My Bears? provides an insightful glimpse into the cognitive process of pre-school and early childhood-aged children. The book will resonate with families who are looking to instill skills such as reasoning, personal responsibility, cleaning up one's play or work space, autonomy, appreciation for individual differences, while reinforcing age-appropriate vocabulary and self determination.
Thomas "Papa Tom" Rahill is a devoted father and grandfather who lives in Florida with Guitele, his wife of 43 years. He draws inspiration from his children and grandchildren. As a teen, he moved to Florida and fell in love with the Everglades. His passion for conservation led him to establish Swamp Apes, an organization dedicated to serving veterans through serving the wilderness. Through the Swamp Apes, he supports veterans and first responders healing from trauma as he guides them in tracking down and removing invasive species, including Burmese pythons. In between adventures, he nurtures his creativity through writing children's stories, songs and poems, originally inspired by his children and now by his grandchildren as well. He has served as a volunteer for many worthy causes throughout his life. He also has designed multiple inventions.
