Angela van Breemen is the author of the David Harris and Emma Jackson Mystery series. In July, 2024, she released her first book, Past Life's Revenge which won the 2025 Global Book Awards Bronze Metal in Thriller - Suspense. The book also earned third place in the 2025 Bookfest Awards. In November, 2025, she released her second novel in the series - Revenge is Not Enough. She is currently working on the third book, Revenge Not Taken Lightly.She is an avid writer of poetry and is excited to be publishing her first collection. She belongs to the Writers' Union of Canada, is a member of the Crime Writers of Canada, Sisters In Crime (Toronto Chapter) and the South Simcoe Arts Council.Angela is a Soprano Soloist. A firm believer in giving back to the community, she often sings for different charitable organizations.Music and poetry have been an integral part of her life, and in early 2024 she launched her debut album, In The Breeze. Celtic in nature, it includes three original pieces of music, based on her poetry.Angela volunteers for Procyon Wildlife Rehabilitation and Education Centre, a group dedicated to the rescue, rehabilitation and safe release of orphaned and injured Ontario wildlife.She lives in Loretto, Ontario with her husband Peter Thomas Pontsa, author of the Inspector William Fox Series.
