Beneath the quiet surface of a forgotten island, something ancient still breathes. Produktbeschreibung
Beneath the quiet surface of a forgotten island, something ancient still breathes. When Clara Moreau accepts an invitation to restore a secluded seaside villa on the Mediterranean coast, she expects solitude, silence, and the slow rhythm of rebuilding a ruin. Instead, she steps into a world suspended between memory and light - where the sea hums softly at night and the walls seem to remember every heartbeat that ever echoed through them. Within the salt-worn corridors of Villa Ambra, Clara uncovers the remnants of the Moreau Institute - an abandoned artistic experiment exploring sound and human consciousness, conceived by two visionary creators, Léonie and Étienne. Their legacy tells a story of forbidden love, creative obsession, and the longing to bridge body and soul. As the restoration unfolds, Clara begins to sense the whispers - not with her ears, but within her pulse. Each resonance draws her deeper into a mystery that defies time and logic, binding her to the island's breath, to a man who should not exist, and to a love never meant to cross worlds. When the final veil begins to lift, Clara must choose what to remember, what to release, and what kind of future can be shaped by the act of truly listening. Whispers of the Amber Veil is a haunting, luminous novel about memory, rebirth, and the fragile magic that lingers between the sea and the human heart. Blending poetic realism with emotional depth, Jasmine Taylor invites readers into an intimate journey where art, silence, and love refuse to fade.
Autorenporträt
Jasmine Taylor is a British author whose work moves between tender contemporary romance, tangled historical mysteries, and character-driven suspense. Born in Bath, England, she studied English Literature at the University of Edinburgh and completed a Master's in Public History at King's College London. Her stories explore memory, second chances, and the small objects that carry our lives forward-letters, keys, benches in the rain.Jasmine has worked with libraries, museums, and schools, and she believes books are made by communities as much as by writers. She now lives in Brighton, a short walk from the sea, where she splits her days between drafting new novels and getting lost in archives. When she isn't writing, she's baking imperfect cakes, rescuing houseplants, and plotting journeys to places with interesting light.
