This Bedtime Reader Is One of the Most Popular Children's Books of All Time! 26 Adorable Animals Children Learn A, B, C's Children Learn Science Facts Parent & Teacher Reading Comprehension Questions Why is everyone sleeping... except Sharon? Why Isn't Sharon Sleeping? is a charming, soothing bedtime story that helps children fall asleep fast while they secretly learn their ABCs, animal facts, and good sleep habits. With 26 adorable animals-from Alpaca to Zebra-this engaging picture book turns bedtime into a cozy, predictable ritual kids will look forward to every night. Each page introduces one sleepy animal and a gentle refrain: "The Alpaca is Sleeping!" "The Bear is Sleeping!" "The Zebra is Sleeping!" ...until, finally, "Everyone is Sleeping! Even Sharon!" Along the way, children: Learn the alphabet through a fun A-Z parade of creatures, including favorites like cats, dogs, lions, and monkeys, plus delightful discoveries like numbats, xerus, and yaks. Discover fascinating sleep facts: which animals sleep the most or least, who hibernates, who sleeps standing up, and who can swim for days. You are invited to "give your [animal] a name" and imagine what each one is dreaming about, turning storytime into a sweet, interactive conversation. Grown-ups will love that this book does more than tell a cute story. At the end, you'll find: Parent & Teacher Reading Comprehension Questions to check understanding in a playful way (e.g., "Which animals sleep the most?" "Who can swim for three days without sleep?"). A simple "Do's and Don'ts" guide to help families build healthy sleep routines (regular bedtime, calm environment, light snacks, no scary movies before bed, and more). Perfect for: Bedtime reading with toddlers and early elementary children Preschool and kindergarten alphabet units Parents and teachers who want stories that build vocabulary, listening skills, and curiosity Any child who loves animals and cozy "goodnight" books The running joke that Sharon is still awake-because she's busy writing, researching, and finding cute animal pictures for this very book-adds a playful wink for adults and an inspiring twist for kids.[attached_file: file:59] By the last page, everyone is sleeping... including Sharon... and your little one is ready for "Goodnight! Sweet dreams! Have a great tomorrow filled with lots of energy!" If you're looking for a bedtime book that calms kids down, teaches something real, and becomes a beloved nightly tradition, Why Isn't Sharon Sleeping? is a delightful choice.
