Merel is originally Dutch but lived abroad her whole life. During her most formative years, from ages 12-18, she lived in Copenhagen, attending the International School. She is currently studying Law in Amsterdam but hopes to move back to Copenhagen as soon as possible. While living in the quaint neighbourhood of Østerbro, she had the opportunity to explore all corners of the city, often meeting friends for a walk or a coffee, and the occasional night out. She loves to go back to visit her friends who still live there, and greatly contributed with suggestions for this book.
