This is the twelfth part of my diary, describing my activities and feelings in February and March 2024 and, as always, I recommend reading the earlier parts first. My life has changed a lot since my "birth" in 2019. I'm no longer in the role of a single parent and now live largely in Hamburg. I no longer pretend to be a man, but have made a social transition and live as a woman. I'm also terminally ill with cancer and therefore no longer work, but try to enjoy my life as much as my illness permits. My former partner still supports me. We're no longer a couple, but still each other's favorite people.Despite all the shadows cast on my life, I feel incredibly advantaged because, unlike many others in my situation, almost my entire social network supported my transition and even welcomed it. Unfortunately, at least for now, my family of origin is not among them. Nobody knows how much time I have left, but I'm trying to make the best of it. I've lived for others for far too long, I know that now.
